This descriptive study determined the perceived benefits of Guimaras as an ecotourism destination as perceived by the residents. A total of 250 respondents were selected through quota sampling and classified under five (5) groups: professionals, businessmen, students, farmers/ fishermen, and others, (housewives, out of school youth and retired employees). The descriptive statistics employed were frequency count,mean, percentage and standard deviation, while Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskall-Wallis test were used for inferential statistics. Significance level was set at .05 alpha. The staistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software was employed in the analysis of data gathered.
