This descriptive study aimed to find out how aware are the members of the school Child Protection Committee of the child protection policy and to what extent the elementary school in Alimodian District II comply with the provisions of the said policy. The participants of the study were the external and internal members of the child protection committee of the school. The results showed that both the internal and external stakeholders are moderately aware of the provisions of the child protection policy as implemented in Alimodian District II. Six factors were identified to have affected the implementation of the child protection policy. These are: strong cooperation among members of the Child Protection Committee, strong local government support, strong leadership of the chairperson of the committee, unity between the internal and external members of the Child Protection Committee, proper information and training of the functions of the Child Protection Committee members and, active membership. The school heads, being the heads of the Child Protection Committee, have done their part in information dissemination and making the stakeholders aware of the child protection policy. It was generally believed that the home and the school have to work more closely together if the best educational results are to be achieved and maintained. The findings of this study can be used as basis for reaching out the community regarding school problems and insights on child protection.
