This study determined the holistic development interpretation among kindergarten children using Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Checklist in the first quarter of school year 2014-2015 as basis for enhancement of learning. Descriptive research was employed which involved 40 kindergarten pupils. ECCD checklist was utilized to obtain the data regarding kindergarten children's holistic development from a central school and 2 non-central schools. The analysis and interpretation of data were made with the use of statistical measures which included mean and standard deviation for the descriptive statistical analysis and Chi Square for the significant associations in the holistic development and developmental domains of kindergarten children. Results of the study revealed that during the first quarter of the school year, the development in all domains of the kindergarten children as a whole and when grouped according to elementary school type, sex, birth order and family size must be monitored within 3 to 6 months. Fine motor is the prominent developmental domain among kindergarten children wherein they have an average development. It was found out that there was no significant association between the holistic development of kindergarten children when taken as a whole and their elementary school type, sex, birth order and family size. However, there was a significant association between self-help domain and the elementary school type and family size. Moreover, a significant association between socia-emotional domain and the school typed existed. Through the implementation of Universal Kindergarten Education a child will develop holistically. With the collaboration of school administrators, teachers, parents and government officials, the implementation and monitoring of the development and learning of kindergarten children will be enhanced accordingly.
