Abstract:

The objective of the study is to find out the effect of selected varieties of brown rice (Oryza sativa) in the blood glucose level of white mice (Mus musculus). Three treatments were used wherein treatment A was fed with Ir-64, treatment B was given Kamuros and treatment C was fed with Pigeon Pellets. These were administered to white mice and monitored the level of blood of glucose with twenty (20) minutes interval from the baseline, 20, 40 and 60 minutes respectively. Results showed that the pigeon pellets has the lowest mean value showing a significant difference as compared to Ir-64. However, there is no significant difference between the Kamuros and Pigeon Pellets treatment.
