In this study, several selected public deep wells in zone 4, barangay San Nicolas, La Paz, Iloilo City were assessed for the presence or absence of coliform during the wet season ans dry season. Two deep weels were randomly sampled for the month of April 2014 representing the dry season and July 2014 representing the wet season. A total of 4 water samples were tested for the presence or absence of coliform using the most probable number technique. Wilcoxon-signed rank test was used to determine the significant difference of the results during the dry and wet seasons. Results showed that 4 deep wells water sample collected during the dry and wet seasons showed a greenish metallic sheen with blue black center and wet season had higher fecal coliform levels than dry season based on the wilcoxon-signed rank test. Water samples collected from barangay San Nicolas La Paz, Iloilo City was contaminated with escherichia-coli making it unsafe for drinking and it is in higher levels during the wet seasons.
