This study aimed to determine the effect of fresh eggplant (Solanum melongena) fruit extract on the clotting time of human blood. Freshy drawn human blood samples from 3 volunteers were applied with different concentrations of S. Melongena fruit extracts, 5%. 10%, 15%, and a negative control. The different treatments were observed as to he clotting time of human blood using the lee-white method. Results of the study showed that the higher concentation of the eggplant fruit extract, the longer is the clotting time of blood which means that the clotting time of blood is dose dependent on S. Melongena fruit extract.
