Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the possible minimum electrical wire lenght for the Medicine Annex Building of West Visaays State University through spanning trees application. In conducting this research, the researchers made use of the electrical plan provided by the office of the physical planning of the West Visaays State University and the university engineer. After the data have been gathered, the researchers made graphs for lighting, ceiling fans, and power outlets for every room in the WVSU Medicine Annex building. The results revealed that the entire Medicine Annex building had recorded the shortest possible lenght of electrical wires as follows: lighting installation had 34.72 m, ceiling fan installation 71.84 m, and power outlets installation had 312.11 m. The total lenght of electrical wires for the entire building was 731.15 m.
