This study aims to determine the effect of home program as intervention class on sign language for a mother of child who is deaf in learning sign language. The instruments used were checklist and research-made manual of sign language. The data gathered were analyzed using percentage and presented in table. The pre-intervention data showed that the mother has a low level of proficiency because of her limited knowledge in sign language. After the intervention, the result showed an improvement in the sign language of a mother. Thus, manual handbook could assist the mother in recognizing sign language.
