Abstract:

This descriptive study aimed to construct, produce and evaluate digital stories in Mother Tongue for Grade 1 learners. Five listening stories from Grade 1 Mother Tongue teachers guide namely Mga Huni Nga Akon Mabatian Padulong sa Eskwelahan, Si Yuri Palahampang, Ang Duha ka Putinga Pispis ni Purita, Ang Sorpresa, and Ang Wasay were chosen to constructed into digital stories. The evaluators looked into the acceptability of the digital stories in terms of: (a) congruence of the story on the objectives, (b)point of view, (c)clarity of voice, (d)pacing of the narrative, (e)meaningful audio soundtrack, (f)quality of images, (g)editing, (h) economy of story detail, (i)grammar and (j)language usage. The result of the evaluation shows that the entire set of five digital stories as “Excellent”.
